George Hollingsworth moved with his father to Frederick Co., near Winchester, Va. in 1733. In 1762 he sold all of his property in Virginia and he and all his family except his son Robert and family , moved to South Carolina. He first married December 19, 1734, Hannah McCoy, daughter of Robert McCoy, Sr., of the Parish of Augusta, Frederick Co., Va. T he following is taken from the records: "George Hollingsworth, late of Cecil Co., Md., now living on the North side of Opecken Colony, Va., married Hannah McCoy, daughter of Robert McCoy, Sr. of the same place, December 19, 1734, at the house of Isaac Parkins of Virginia, in the presence of the following wi tnesses:Abraham Hollingsworth (Father) Anne Hollingsworth (Mother)Margaret Hollingsworth (Sister) Isaac Hollingsworth (Brother) and others. Some sources reference this as being the first marriage of Friends (Quakers) in the Valley of Virginia.

George Hollingsworth, age 22, married first Hannah McKay, daughter of Robert McKay Sr., on 19 December 1734 at Cecil Co., Maryland.

     George Hollingsworth died before 16 November 1786 at Newberry Co., South Carolina.

     Thomas Hollingsworth was born 1 July 1661, Belleniskcrannel, Seagoe, Armagh, Ireland. He was the son of Valentine Hollingsworth Sr. and Ann Rae.

Thomas Hollingsworth, age 30, married second Grace Cook, daughter of William Cook and Elizabeth Fox, on 31 January 1692.

     Margaret Calvert was born 4 July 1661, Kilhurigan Co., Armagh, Ireland. She was the daughter of Thomas Calvert and Jane Glasford.
Margaret Calvertmarried Thomas Hollingsworth, son of Valentine Hollingsworth Sr. and Ann Rae, circa April 1686. As of circa April 1686,her married name was Hollingsworth.

     Margaret Calvert died on 1 October 1687 at Frederick Co., Virginia, at age 26.

Jane Glasford married Thomas Calvert, son of John Calvert and (?) Grace, on 11 November 1647 at Lurgan, Armagh, Ireland. As of 11 November 1647,her married name was Calvert.

Valentine Hollingsworth Sr., age 39, married Ann Calvert, age 21 , daughter of Thomas Calvert and Jane Glasford, on 12 June 1672.

Valentine Hollingsworth Sr. on 2 February 1683 at Signed "Frame of Government of Pennsylvania.

     Valentine Hollingsworth Sr. died on 13 October 1710 at Newwark, New Castle, Delaware, at age 78.

     Ann Rae was born 1627/28, Tanderagee, Co. Armagh, Par Ballymore, Ireland. She was the daughter of Nicholas Rae and (?) Ann.

Ann Rae married Valentine Hollingsworth Sr., age 22 on 7 April 1655 at Lurgan, Armagh, Ireland. As of 7 April 1655,her married name was Hollingsworth.

     Ann Rae died on 1 April 1671 at Moravderty, Armagh, Ireland.
